Botev Peak 2,376m

Botev Peak, standing at 2,376 meters (7,795 feet), is the highest peak in the Balkan Mountains of southeastern Europe. Located near Bulgaria's geographic center, it forms part of the stunning Central Balkan National Park.

Renamed in 1950 to honor the Bulgarian poet and revolutionary Hristo Botev, the peak was formerly known as Yumrukchal, meaning 'fist-like peak.'

A key feature of Botev Peak is its weather station and radio tower, which provides extensive FM and TV broadcasting across 65% of Bulgaria, reaching parts of Romania and Turkey.
